Mike Adams assumed the position
of head Redhawk swimming coach in the Fall, 1992. Before coming to NCHS,
Mike was head coach at the Naperville YMCA from 1985-1991 and prior to
that he was head age group coach for the Cincinnati Pepsi Marlins from
1982-1985. In his tenure, Mike has built the Redhawks into a perennial
top ten finisher at the IHSA state meet. He led the Redhawks to the IHSA
State Championship in 2002 and Runner-up in 2005 and 2006. He has been named sectional coach of
the year 7 times, and was named 2002, 2005 and 2006 IHSA Coach of the Year. Coach Adams was recognized in 2005 as a National Federation of High Schools State Coach of the Year. |
